大晦日の夜の過ごし方 How to spend the night of New Year's Eve

みなさんは大晦日の夜に必ずしていることはありますか？

行く年来る年を見る、笑ってはいけないを見て笑っている、クラブでカウントダウン、そもそも寝ている、、、いろいろあると思いますが、

私が一番すきなのは、、、、、除夜の鐘 です！！！！

そうです。煩悩の数だけ鐘をつくあれです。

日本人なら誰もが知っているイベントですが、実際に衝きに行っている方は少ないですよね。 私の友達は年明け前にやってると勘違いしていたみたい。0時過ぎてからでーす。。

年越しを地元ではなく鎌倉でした私は、お気に入りのお寺である「大船観音」に行ってきました～！！！！！

地元と同じように0時を過ぎて外出したのですが、さすが都会！

0時15分ころに到着した私は219番目！！！！

煩悩の数終わっとるやないかーい！！！！

と、、、、言いながら待つことにした私。待ち時間中には初詣をしたり、大仏の中で行われているご祈祷を見学したり、甘酒をいただいたりしていました。(意外とすぐ自分の番がやってきました。)

一人で行ったので写真は撮れなかったんですが、「ごーーーーん」と、、、

人一倍高らかに鐘を鳴らし(大満足)、帰宅しました。

ただの鐘衝きですが、新年の夜中、息が白い中鳴り響く鐘の音はとても厳か。

過ぎた年に感謝をし、新しい年を静かに迎える除夜の鐘はいつになく私の心を平和にしてくれています。

Do you have anything that you are doing every year in the New Year's eve ?

Watching TV programms, dancing in a club, fireworks, don't remember because you are always drunk, or just already sleeping...? Many different type of things to do, maybe by countries, religions...?

I have one thing that I love to do definitelly in the night of the New Year's eve.

That is...Joya no kane (the bell on new year's eve)

Maybe some of you know about it already, but yes it is that people strike the big bell in the temple 108 times after 12pm of New Year's eve night. It is a famous event in Japan, but eventually I have no friends who is doing it. (Actually one of my Japanese friend thought it is finished before 12pm....OMG)

I spend the time of New Year's eve this year in Kamakura at my own home, not in Hiroshima at my parents, so I went to Ofuna Kannon temple, which is one of my favorite place.

But guess what....I left home 12pm, and arrived there around 12:15, then...

I got the ticket number 219....!!!!!

It means I would ring the bell 219th. I had totally forgot I live in Kamakura, not small tiny town where you see nothing, wher actually I come from.

Yeah yeah, I had complained to myself enough and waited for it while doing Hatsumode, watching munk's big praying, and drinking sweet non-alcohol sake (that was awesome).

 Actually I did realy well, and the sound of the bell was really really nice. (Unfortunatelly I went alone, then could not record it. sad.)

So this is just to ring or strike the bell, but I felt the sound of the bell really awestruck in the cold mid night. I appreciated the past 2017, and welcomed newly coming 2018 peacefully. So recommend you all to try :)
